# Can AI write construction estimates?

Yes — AI can produce a priced, proposal-ready estimate in under a minute when it works from your own price book and past jobs. It handles line items, quantities, markup and the written proposal; the owner or estimator still reviews scope and approves the number before it leaves the business.

## What the AI estimator actually does

- Turns a scope description into structured line items
- Prices those items from your price book, not generic averages
- Applies your markup and produces a client-ready proposal
- Follows up on the estimate until it is won or lost

## What still needs a human

Scope judgment, site conditions and relationship pricing stay with you. Every AI action has a permission level you control, and every action is logged and reversible.
